The Night Sky Program offers public and private group Night Sky Explorer Patch programs for ages 9-99 throughout the Travis County park system, connecting the community with astronomy education, nocturnal nature and wildlife and night sky preservation. Night Sky Preservation
The Night Sky Program promotes and supports night sky friendly outdoor lighting in the parks, educates the community about the impacts of light pollution and solutions and monitors night sky quality with a network of 5 night sky quality monitoring stations.
